WEIGH-IN

I have been so gosh-darn emotional lately. (what a shocker, right?) and I am concerned. This is only the beginning.. it's bound to get worse as things move along -- it's going to be a long year if I can't get myself together.

On another note, and partially because my husband can sense when I am not feeling up-to-par, he does things for me that really turn my day around. Take this morning for example.. I didn't see him before he left (which is the case on most mornings when he has to work), but I felt a kiss on my forehead just before he walked out of the bedroom door softly closed behind him. I can still smell his cologne. I feel so close to him. As I continue to hit the snooze button and roll around in bed, I hear the time and freak - so I hobbled to the bathroom with half an eye open to find this:

Yes folks, he's a keeper. He sticks by me through all my craziness. He is truly my best friend. Hell, he's been my only friend. When times get rough, he's always there with a hand out for me to grab. He's there to laugh with. He loves me with the same genuine passion that I share for him. I never want to lose that feeling. I think about him literally all day long. He is an amazing person (and hot, to boot!)

I am going to miss him so much next week when I scoot off to Mexico. I know he'll be fine here, but if only he could be going!! We could have an excellent time for sure ;-)

Today is the big weigh-in.. 19-week weight loss program at work. People have been stuffing their faces trying to gain weight for the weigh in today -- donuts, pizza, tacos.. you name it. They're even planning to eat big today.. the weigh in is at 4pm. They're paying $5 per pound lost to each employee. Yowzers! I'm not in it for the cash prize, but I signed up just the same. Everyone at the business office is laughing that I am even in it. But hey, I'm in it to help. I'm in it to be a team player. And if I lose weight in the process, super.

Guess that's all for now. Time to get to work. Two more work days 'til VACATION!!
